About
Safety paperwork without the paperwork
RAMS Pal is a UK web app that turns a plain-English description of a job into a job-specific Risk Assessment and Method Statement, ready to review, edit and issue.
Why it exists
Every contractor who works on somebody else's site is asked for a RAMS before they can start. Most write it the night before, in a word processor, from the last one they issued, and most principal contractors can tell. RAMS Pal exists so that a one-van firm can issue the same job-specific document a large contractor's safety department would, in the time it takes to describe the job.
It is built for UK contractors, subcontractors and tradespeople: electricians, builders, roofers, solar installers, HVAC engineers, plumbers, scaffolders, groundworkers, welders, painters, and maintenance and facilities teams.
How a document is produced
- Every document is built from the answers given about the job, the site, the workforce, the equipment and the hazards. Nothing is a fixed template.
- Hazards, control measures, permits, PPE standards and legislation come from a maintained library written around UK regulations and HSE guidance.
- Every section can be edited before the document is issued, because the person issuing it knows the site and the tool does not.
- The document is a support, not a guarantee. It is reviewed and signed by a competent person, and briefed to the operatives, before work starts.
What comes out is a complete RAMS: document control, scope, site and access arrangements, permits, personnel and competence, plant and equipment, a PPE schedule to standard, a 5×5 risk assessment with initial and residual scores, a numbered method statement, emergency arrangements, welfare and environmental controls, a pre-start checklist, the legislation that applies, and sign-off with a briefing record. Every one of those sections is described on the what a RAMS covers page and shown in full in the example documents.
What it is not
RAMS Pal is a documentation support tool. It is not a compliance guarantee, it is not a health and safety consultancy, and it does not replace professional advice or a competent person's judgement about the actual work. The person who issues a document remains responsible for reviewing it against the site, the workforce and the equipment on the day.
Pricing, plainly
A single RAMS is £14.90, paid once. Five are £29.90, and the credits never expire. Pro is £39.90 a month for unlimited documents with saved company details, workers and equipment. There is no subscription unless you choose one, and no account is needed to buy a single document. The pricing page has the detail.
RAMS Pal is a documentation support tool. Generated content must be reviewed and adapted to the actual work, site conditions, workforce, equipment and applicable health & safety requirements.
